Authors are invited to submit contributions for review and consideration for presentation at the symposium on topics of interest to AEMC 2013. Topics and submission requirements are listed below, including requirements for the student paper competition. Papers will be presented in either oral or poster sessions. Assignment to oral or poster sessions will be based solely on the recommendation of TPC. Only papers of very high quality, as per the opinion of the TPC, shall be archived in the IEEE Xplore. All paper submissions are due no later than 31st July 2013.

General Submission Information:

All papers must be submitted in PDF format via the AEMC 2013 website on or before July 31, 2013. Only electronic submissions in PDF format will be accepted. Please visit the AEMC 2013 website for the latest instructions, templates, and format examples. Only the submitting author will receive an acknowledgement of the submission. Page numbers should not appear on submitted documents. All papers must be written in clear, idiomatic English. If a paper is not presented at the AEMC 2013, then the AEMC reserves the right to exclude it from the proceedings to be submitted to the IEEE Xplore. Instructions for Authors:

All papers for the AEMC 2013 must be submitted in the IEEE standard two-column format. Templates for Microsoft™ Word (.doc) and LaTeX2e are available at the AEMC website. Papers must be limited to two pages in length, including text, references, and figures. Authors are advised to get their papers scanned for plagiarism using the Viper Software, available freely for individual use from They are required to install: (1) from Microsoft’s web site for proper working of Viper, and (2) Adobe PDF IFilter v6.0 to scan the PDF version of their paper, from Adobe’s website.

They must submit the scanned report in PDF format, along with the paper. Without this report, the submission shall be deemed incomplete. Out of the 18 tracks, the author has to select the Track most appropriate for his/her submitted paper.
The introduction of the paper should clearly indicate the unique aspects of the submission and how it relates to previous work. A signed IEEE copyright form must accompany all submissions. Papers submitted without copyright forms cannot be accepted.

Additional Instructions for Student Paper Competition:

To be eligible for the Student Paper Competition entry there must be only one student author who has to be the first author. There can be only one additional co-author, who must submit a signed letter (in PDF) indicating that his/her contribution is primarily advisory. A double-blind review process shall be followed for SPC evaluation. Each submission shall have two versions: (i) That contains authors name & affiliation, (ii) That does not contain the name & affiliation(s) of the author(s) (This will be send for review).
